We believe a comprehensive assessment of the Yoga ED.™. Program by experienced and accredited educators and yoga professionals is essential to the expansion of our program.

Dr. Simeon Slovachek of Cal. State, L. A. and Dr. Scott Crow of the University of Minnesota are currently gathering data for both a qualitative and quantitative assessment of the Yoga Ed. Program.

Evaluation of the Yoga Program at The Accelerated School:

The 2002-2003 Yoga Program is being evaluated by external evaluators from Program Evaluation & Research Collaborative (PERC) at CSU-Los Angeles.  The evaluators are Drs. Simeon Slovacek and Susan Tucker.

The evaluation will study the extent to which the TAS Yoga program has been effective in achieving its objectives of improving studentsŐ educational experience through better concentration, focus and an improved sense of self worth. The goal of this evaluation is to help identify program strengths as well as any areas for program improvement.

Using interviews, observations and surveys, the PERC evaluators are currently gathering information from students, yoga teachers, teachers and administrators at TAS.   The timeline of activities is summarized in the table below:
