The YOGA ED™ Teacher Training provides you with
the philosophy, methodology and 36-week K-8 Curriculum,
Teacher’s Guide and Resources to effectively implement
yoga in schools. YOGA ED™ combines traditional
yoga themes and methods with imaginative play, art activities,
reflection, journaling, and cross-curriculum subject integration.
Upon completion, participants will receive a diploma verifying
that they are trained to teach the Yoga Ed. Program K-8.
You will learn how to:
• Design and implement a YOGA ED™ program
• Create lesson plans for fun and effective yoga
classes
• Adapt yoga for specific developmental stages of
children
• Improve children’s focus, concentration
and relaxation
• Discover games that capture the attention and
imagination of children
• Introduce yoga into the administrative and procedural
systems of schools
• Integrate yoga into the school culture
This Teacher Training involves you in designing and executing
meaningful and fun lesson plans for 3 distinct developmental
levels. In addition to lecture and demonstration
for experts, you will have the opportunity to practice
teaching. These practice sessions provide valuable information
and feedback for everyone. They also offer the potential
for true transformation of your self as a teacher.
Our intention is to offer a mirror to how you present
yourself and to support you in teaching from a place of
integrity and authenticity. We will offer constructive
feedback on integration of a theme, structure, flow, timing,
safety, behavior management and your relatedness.
When you have the freedom to share yourself more fully
and embrace what happens in your classes as the material
for learning, you don’t just teach yoga, you share
yoga as a life tool and lay the foundation for lifetime
health and wellness.
Yoga Ed. Teacher Training
pre-requisites:
Completion of a yoga teacher training or equivelent
Understanding of alignment in all poses
Ability to clearly instruct and safely make verbal corrections
Knowledge of hands-on adjustments
Some experience teaching or student teaching children

Fridays 7 – 9:30 pm/ Saturdays and Sundays 9 am
– 5 pm
