Yoga Ed. Tools for Teachers offers teachers fundamental
yoga techniques such as conscious breathing, basic yoga
poses, movement games and visualizations designed for
the classroom to enhance learning, behavior and discipline.
By sharing and practicing these tools on a regular basis,
teachers help themselves and their students to cultivate
focus, concentration, relaxation, self-awareness and self-management.
Currently part of the LAUSD’s District Intern Certification
Program, Yoga Ed. Tools for Teachers are valuable and
effective class management techniques that help students
feel more ready and able to learn. With these simple
5 – 15 minute classroom-friendly techniques and
sequences that anyone can do, teachers can create a more
focused, disciplined, harmonious classroom!
Yoga Ed. Tools for Teachers is open to all yogis and non-yogis,
parents and teachers who are interested in how to make
the benefits of yoga available to children in school.
You will learn simple yoga poses, games, breathing exercises
and visualizations that can be immediately implemented
to effectively and quickly de-stress, focus, calm and
integrate students creating the conditions for productive
learning. We will work from the required Tools for Teachers
Manual. The seminar also includes reading, a paper and
a short presentation. Upon completion, you will
receive a diploma.
The cost is $200, and there is a $50 non-refundable deposit
to reserve your place. When you register, you will receive
a letter with specific information on required reading,
where to send payments and directions to The Yoga House.
Yoga Ed. Tools for Teachers is in the process of being
approved for Continuing Education Credits. If interested,
